Fixed Seal

There was nothing wrong with Sam Seal Beal. It wasn't Seal that got fixed, it was his bicycle. Instead of Seal's usual multi-speed road bike, Seal came to the FC508 this year sporting a very elegant Ciocc fixed gear. Here Seal is leaving the Shoshone Time Station, ready to put some more miles under his tires, and more space between him and the other fixed gear division riders.

When asked about the time lost due to the single gear ratio, Seal thinks there isn't much lost, maybe none at all. Concerning the ferocious windstorm that the riders battled all the way through Death Valley, Seal says that he has never ridden in wind so severe.
