Dinosaurs are not Extinct

They live and thrive in the 2003 Furnace Creek 508. One in particular, a young herbivore from Northern California is cutting his teeth in the ultramarathon cycling world. Bevan "Brontosaurus" Barton, a 16-year old who doesn't even have his driver's license, decided that he needed a challenge. A big challenge. A challenge worthy of the top prize in the "How I Spent My Summer Vacation" essay contest at the College Prep School in Oakland. Bronto, a third-year student with a keen interest in biology, is getting a first-hand look at how the body operates under adverse conditions in the field. With his father and cousin serving as crew, the junior rider has moved through the field with the legs and heart of a cyclist twice his age and experience.

The future of ultramarathon cycling shines very, very brightly thanks to young athletes like Bevan.
