1994: This is my favorite 508 shirt of all time. Bev Schutte of CycleDesign did the work, as she does on our shirt most every year. I wanted to balance out "hell of the west" with how many of the riders (and me) really think of this race: "heaven on earth." Plus I snuck in a "crop circle," although few seemed to notice then and many of you right now probably don't even know what the heck that it is! My old RAAM-racing buddy Steve Born won that year in what was one of the greatest 508 battles of all time.
